Elham Maghsoudi Nia has obtained her PhD degree in 2019 from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in ”Civil Engineering” in Malaysia. She obtained her Master degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia in “Architectural Studies” in 2014. Her study during PhD and MSc was focused on environmental issues and harvesting of renewable energies in urban context. Since 2013, she has published several journal articles and presented several papers in different international conferences on utilizing sustainable approaches in buildings and constructions. Her Bachelor Degree in “Architecture” was from Shahrood University of Technology in 2008. Her interest is promoting sustainable and energy efficiency technologies in buildings. Currently, she has joined TU Delft Faculty of Architecture in the Netherlands as a researcher focusing on energy retrofitting of buildings.
Iman Farshchi has more than 20 years working experience as a Civil and Geotechnical Engineer. Dr Iman Farshchi obtained his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Estahban, Shiraz, Iran. His Master’s education was conducted under the direction of Professor Dr Nazri Bin Ali at University Technology of Malaysia (UTM) - where he studied the effects of vegetation on slope stabilisation. His PhD’s dissertation was supervised by Professor Claudio di Prisco, Professor Andrea Galli and Professor Francesco Calvetti at Politecnico di Milano (University Technology of Milan, Italy) in the research field of Soil-Foundation Interaction and he was awarded a PhD scholarship to conduct my studies. His research area is focusing on suitable and green tech soil stabilization methods and soil-foundation interaction by applying various methods such as macro-element. Currently he is working as a Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment at MAHSA University, Malaysia campus in association with Anglia Ruskin University and University of East London.
Lin Yola isa Senior Lecturer at the School of Strategic and Global Studies, Universitas Indonesia, with a strong academic and professional background in urban and energy, is best known for her model of ‘Climatically Responsive Urban Configuration’. Her significant works impulse planners and stakeholders to confront climate challenges in strategizing urban spaces to create conducive living in today's city area. She believes that urban and regional development urgently need global ecological and social justice. Her projects and publications also impose technology innovation as the strategic methodology in addressing global development issues. Dr. Lin Yola has years of experience in an Academic and Administrative Position in some international university programs. Currently, she is Manager at International Collaboration Division at School of Strategic and Global Studies, Universitas Indonesia. Dr. Lin Yola is also highly active as Publication Editor and Reviewer, Curriculum Developer, International Event Chairman, and Community Services
Mokhtar Awang is a Professional Engineer and an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Perak, Malaysia. He is also a Chartered Engineer with Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, UK (IMarEST). He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Detroit Mercy, MI, USA, and both Master and Doctorate degrees from West Virginia University, WV, USA. Mokhtar Awang had 6 years of experience in industry and over 18 years of academic experience in the field of finite element modeling and friction stir welding. He is a co-author of a book and editor of 8 books related to finite element modelling and material engineering. He has also published more than eighty peer reviewed journal and conference papers
