Autorenporträt
Charles D (Doug) Hepler received the B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut in 1960, the M.S. (with residency) in 1965, and the Ph.D. in 1973 from the University of Iowa. He has been a faculty member in pharmacy at the University of Iowa, Medical College of Virginia, and The University of Florida. He was a visiting professor at The University of Manchester (England) in 2000. Among other awards, he received the André Bédat Award from the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in 2012; the Harvey AK Whitney Award from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in 2010; and was a co-recipient of the Remington Medal from the American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA) in 1997. Previous publications include Preventing Medication Errors and Improving Drug Therapy Outcomes: A Management Systems Approach with Richard Segal; four FIP conference proceedings on the subject of pharmaceutical care; and over 80 professional and research articles and book chapters.
