While awaiting her fate in an opulent bedroom built for the Commander's special guests, Victoria is provided with an array of foods from across the galaxy as part of the science team's attempt to understand human biology. One particular fruit catches Victoria's attention, but its side effects prove life threatening. After extensive analysis by the ship's doctor, they determine that she is locked in a state of hyper-libido which cannot be cured by solo satisfaction. She needs a mate.

Conflicted by the desire to consummate his relationship with a willing, loving partner and the duty to save her life at all costs, Commander Ziro must decide how he will convince her that they need eachother. He fears she will accuse him of orchestrating the entire incident, destroying what little trust he may have built with her over their days together. He will have to walk a delicate line to win her heart before he can justify claiming her as his bride.
