Fish Hoek High School principal Gavin Fish, himself the parent of a teenager, has worked closely with teenagers for 25 years. Approximately five years ago he began a regular a column in the local Cape Town press, called 'Taming The Teenager', detailing some of the more poignant, humbling and humorous experiences of parenting and educating teenagers. Not only have his articles received rave reviews, but some families are known to have discussed them at the dinner table, while others have sent them overseas to family and friends. He has given numerous talks on the subject, including airtime on a local Cape Town radio station.
