Dieter Haller, geb. 1962, ist seit 2005 Professor für Sozialanthropologie an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum und Mitbegründer des dortigen Zentrums für Mittelmeerstudien. Er forscht und publiziert über den westlichen Mittelmeerraum.
