Theatrical art in the Arab world takes its delay path as a result of the superiority of poetry as a major literary template for a long time, but with the influence of the European literary movement the Arabs became familiar with new literary forms such as the novel, story and prose. The prosperity of the Egyptian and Arab theater is due to the pioneering efforts of the great writer Tawfiq Al -Hakim, who presented mature theatrical texts dealing with the issues of his political and social time, and differs from the prevailing form in the lyric theater, calling for the title "Abu the Arab Theater". In this book, the thinker and critic Mohamed Mandour presents a comprehensive literary study on Tawfiq Al -Hakim Theater, dealing with origin and development.
