From the German point of view these methods are interesting, because in German teacher education, these methods are banned and therefore cannot be used or studied. It is the more interesting for a teacher in practical work to have knowledge about these relatively old methods of teaching, because they have their positive sides. It is one big goal of this work to have a look at the positive sides of structural approaches in English language teaching. These might be observed in India.
