Five friends meet at university, and fall into the habit of telling each other stories. And what begins as something to pass the time becomes something more, a way of expressing themselves, and of making sense of their lives and their growing feelings for one another, even as their own stories become ever more entwined.
Telling Tales is a story about love and loss, dreams and fears; but most of all it is a story about friendship.
Warm and witty, thoughtful and thought-provoking, this is a book for anyone who has ever struggled to make sense of the stories of their lives, to understand themselves and to understand those around them.

Autorenporträt
I work as a magazine editor. However, every now and then I pluck up the courage to write something of my own, and to date have written four novels.

The first, "Fell Runner", is an urban fantasy novel; the second, "Dog Stone", is a children's book; the third, "Telling Tales", is a story of five friends and the stories they tell to make sense of their lives; and the most recent, "Enchanted Isle", is something along the lines of a fantasy travelogue, for all those who loved Lord of the Rings but would happily have never left the Shire.

All of which probably means that at some point, I should try to make up my mind what kind of writer I am.

I also play in a folk trio from time to time. You can hear us here, if you want to: www.mischiefafoot.co.uk.
