It reminded me a touch of the show Hacks, with it's pacing and cleverly written characters. (5-stars) Another fast-paced, funny romp for Fortune and the gang, this time through the small-town amateur comedy clubs of Louisiana. The humor and jokes come quick and fast as archenemies Gertie and Celia face off in a no-holds-barred roast. But of course, murder rears its ugly head and before you know it, it's all hands on deck to apprehend the real culprit. This is another excellent entry in a series that I've come to look forward to. As fast as they are written, I'll read them. DTC 11-24-2021
