I'm Hal Aetus and I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with my husband, Colin. I grew up in Washington State and have also lived in Alaska. I am a veterinarian specializing in avian medicine and surgery and I particularly enjoy assisting wildlife. I spend much of my time in remote settings lending my skills to field research & conservation efforts. My interest in writing and creative arts began as a child but went on the back burner for a couple of decades as I attended college and began my career. In 2013 I discovered the furry fandom and was inspired to write fiction and take up digital art. My art and stories focus on avian characters. I'm also a private pilot with instrument, land, & sea ratings. My unifying passion in life has always been birds and anything bird-related.
