The story is about two brothers, Scruffin and Scrumpy. It is filled with adventure. Having to be home before dark, they end up lost in the forest and are spotted by a dangerous fox hot after their tails. While trying to find their way back home, they run into one of the least of all animals that will point them their way home. During their adventure, they find out what really matters most.
