Carol Austad is a licensed clinical psychologist and currently serves as a distinguished Professor of Psychology in Connecticut. She has a wealth of experience in psychotherapy, stress management, and biofeedback, and has published extensively in the area of psychotherapy and healthcare. Dr. Austad obtained her B.A. from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and completed her Ph.D. at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Her life's mission is to empower individuals to lead happy and fulfilling lives. She strongly believes that for humanity to reach its full potential, we must address our history of historical and racial trauma while also tackling the pressing issue of the planet's climate crisis. During her visits to Hawaii, she gained valuable insights into the profound connection between human beings and Mother Earth, realizing how this bond plays a crucial role in fostering good physical and mental health and overall well-being.
