Autorenporträt
Dr. Bukky Salako was born in Nigeria and raised in Maryland. She received her Ph.D. in Composition and TESOL from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her master's degree in TESOL from Inter American University of Puerto Rico. She has a keen interest in the field of sociolinguistics analysis, composition studies, second language acquisition, African American Vernacular English, and Nigerian Pidgin English. She has presented at conferences on non-native English speakers and published and contributed to academic work in her field. The Ancestral Secrets is her first novel. Her passion for exploring the world led her to complete a master's degree in Puerto Rico. Her love for Korean films encouraged her to take a short break from her Ph.D. program, in which she participated in a study abroad program at Kyungpook National University located in Daegu, South Korea. She has lived in Nigeria briefly and enjoys visiting African countries. When she is not writing or teaching at the university, she loves to travel and volunteer in the media department at her church.
