Produktbeschreibung
What is happening with the data we allow machines to have-and what dangerous precedents are being set that will influence the future? Curtis Cochran, who became increasingly concerned about where technology was headed during his ten years in information technology, explores what has become an increasingly concerning chain of events. He examines how technology giants have overstepped by butting themselves into almost every aspect of our lives. For instance, Meta (Facebook) wants our prayers, our work, and our educations monitored by artificial intelligence with all data collected. Elon Musk, co-founder of Neuralink, wants us to install technology into our brains. As of now, we do not have the right to be forgotten by big tech-nor do we get a percentage of the revenue when our data is bought and sold. While it may be too late to stop what's going on, we can learn what has occurred, who did it, when it happened-and what will likely come next. Whether or not you believe in God, this book reveals how social engineering, incrementalism, and human complacency is paving the way for a dystopia that we must try to avoid.
