Rezensionen
"This volume explores the Arab Gulf States' relationships with the USA, Iran, and Israel, and includes an analysis of their capacities in coping with regional turmoil and the competition between them. ... a useful introduction to the recent and historic relations between Iran and what would become the GCC member states in 1981 ... . The book's value lies primarily in filling some gaps in the current literature on the regional and international relations of the Gulf ... ." (Robert Mason, Journal of Arabian Studies, Vol. 6 (1), August, 2016)
"This slim volume provides a useful introduction to the changing politics of the region. It begins with a historical survey of the Gulf sheikhdoms and their ceaseless attempts to secure a steady foundation for their rule. ... The Arab Gulf States and Reform in the Middle East is a useful introduction to the complexities of the Gulf." (Survival, Vol. 58 (2), April-May, 2016)
