The author lived amongst the peoples of every venue mention in the story from Whistlestop, Alabama to Limay, Bataan. He was infected with the Asian mystique for daily life of a happy peoples from the southern cities of Lucena and Pagbilao, to Balanga, the capital city of Bataan situated on Maynila Bay's western shore. What better places could a pilgrim on holiday land? The author knows not.
