Steven Clifford has been writing since he was seven, theinitial version of his first novel was written when he wasin the final year ofprimary school, much to the surprise of his teachers!

Throughout school and college, Steventurned to writing scripts for theatre,many of which healsoperformed in. Several of these were entered into the "In your own write" competition at the Ustinov Studios in Bath.

Steven's play, "The Question to your Answer" was performed in the New Vic studio at the Bristol Old Vic in April 2001.

In his late teens, Steven caught the travel bug and has travelled extensively across America, Europe and Australia.

This is Steven's first novel, and he has at least five books planned for the THE BLACKLOCK MYSTERIES. He is currently writing the second installment, Backpacker Trail.

Steven currently resides in Bristol.
