THE EDITORS STANLEY HAUERWAS is the Gilbert T. Rowe Professor of Theological Ethics at Duke Divinity School. His numerous books include The Peaceable Kingdom (2003) and Hannah's Child: A Theologian's Memoir (2010). SAMUEL WELLS is Dean of Duke University Chapel and Research Professor of Christian Ethics at Duke Divinity School. His books include Improvisation: The Drama of Christian Ethics (2004), God's Companions: Reimagining Christian Ethics (2006), Power and Passion: Six Characters in Search of Resurrection (2007), Speaking the Truth (2008), and, with Ben Quash, Introducing Christian Ethics (2010).
