In writing Daytona Massacre, a courtroom drama set in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1997 that centers on a capital murder trial, Mr. Fidel relied not only on his familiarity with his hometown, but also his twenty seven year career as a prosecutor in the Queens County District Attorney's Office in New York City.
