Mariclaire Norton has been interested in writing fiction since high school. She is a published poet in a Poetry Anthology, and in high school wrote and directed a play based on 'The Crucible'. Ms. Norton has long been a fan of fantasy fiction with authors such as Anne McCaffrey, J.R.R. Tolkien and J.K. Rowlings being her inspiration and idols. She is also a long time student of Celtic and Norse mythology. Those familiar with these subjects will find some references to these cultures in her writings.Now retired, Ms. Norton spends her time volunteering as a therapeutic music harper at a local hospital when she isn't writing or watching her three grandchildren.
