Autorenporträt
Magdalene George, affectionately called "Charlie", is a Caribbean-American author native to St. Andrew's, Grenada. She is one of twelve children. Ever the nurturing spirit, from a young age she helped her parents with raising her younger siblings along with several nieces and nephews. At the age of seventeen, Charlie became the first of her siblings to leave her home to pursue greater opportunities in America. She quickly acclimated herself to her new surroundings and began her pursuit of the American Dream. After attending college, traveling the world, and starting a family of five, Charlie focused her efforts on entrepreneurship. She successfully started a daycare center that has been operating for over 27 years and has produced several college graduates and young professionals who often credit her with many of the life lessons that have led to their success. With her many years of childcare experience behind her and an active imagination, Charlie saw it appropriate to again give back to children and parents by creating children's books. The cautionary tale, "The Boy Who Wanted More" is her first literary effort and the culmination of a dream finally come true. Charlie currently lives in Maryland and loves to spend her free time with family.
