Stick rides to the rural north Texas town of Three Rivers to pay last respects to his best friend, Snake, who was killed in a motorcycle crash on the Clear Creek bridge. Stick's plans to return home are changed when he discovers that Snake's death may not have been accidental. His suspicions are aroused further when a local redneck tries to run him out of town. The women in Three Rivers like him just fine, but this causes additional complications with a jealous boyfriend. While trying to unravel the mystery of his friend's death, Stick finds himself caught up in an old fashion western land dispute, is punched, shot at, almost run off the road to his own demise, and even has a cannon fired at him. This leaves him pondering that half the people of Three Rivers want to love him, while the other half want him dead. Who would have ever thought a funeral would be so complicated.

I've been a motorcyclist all my adult life. Enjoy writing, and have had short stories, poems, cartoons, and illustrations published in many motorcycle publications. I also write music and perform in various places in Denton, Texas, which is well known for it's eclectic music scene.
