A young woman is traveling to meet her fiancé, but notices her luxurious watch that he gifted her has stopped working. She stops to get it fixed before seeing him, but watchmaker Miklos Marko wishes to fix more than her timepiece. The hurried visitor demands service during her brief stop in the Village of Wicked Creek, and her impatience toward Marko and the townspeople has made a bad first impression. When the woman finds that Marko fails to fix her watch correctly, she returns to file an aggressive complaint. However, she's oblivious to the fact she was lured back to his shop, and soon realizes there are greater problems to face.
