Birtie Finch is a member of Southern Star Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Her pastor and mentor is Reverend Dr. Barry C. Johnson, Sr., who baptized her in 2019. Birtie is devoted to her church and her membership in the Mass choir. Birtie has served as a volunteer for the Louisville Elder Serve organization and the United Christian Hill Ministry. She has worked in a range of programs, including those that offer emergency finance, insurance, and food assistance to senior citizens. She has also worked for the Meals on Wheels community and organized various ecumenical activities for senior citizens groups. Birtie has taken adult community education courses at the United Christian Hill Ministry and is currently pursuing a degree in Communications and Art Technology at the Jefferson County Community College. Birtie's life turned around on March 15, 2010, when she gave her life over to the Lord.
