Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a prolific Scottish writer who created the immortal characters of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Doyle was also an advocate for justice, a political reformer, an amateur architect, an avid sportsman, and an avowed Spiritualist.
