He currently works in finance as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certified process engineer. He holds a BA in geography with a cognate in criminal justice from the University of South Carolina. Born in North Carolina, he is a member of the Coharie Tribe with ancestors of Cherokee, Tuscarora, Lumbee, and Powhatan descent. He currently lives in Jacksonville, Florida and enjoys genealogy and visiting Florida beaches. He is also a member of Christ's Church in Jacksonville.
