This book provides a history of the Chaldean Catholic Church from its origins as a numerically minor faction of the East Syriac Christian tradition (Church of the East) in northern Mesopotamia in the sixteenth century through to its modern status as a significant religious, social, economic and cultural contributor to Iraqi life.
