While conducting surveillance, Li Mei encounters FBI agent, Sean McNamara, who she had met briefly in Seattle while Li Mei was posing as a PhD student at the University of Washington. They team up and discover a conspiracy designed to bring the world to the brink of war, and beyond. Before they can discover the identity of the conspirators, assassins arrive on the island targeting Lei Mei and the FBI team.
