This is a book of rhyme describing Baby Jesus' first night in this world (using poetic license). It tells the tale of Mary and Joseph endeavoring to put Baby Jesus down for the night. Eventually they enlist the aid of angels, barn animals, and finally domestic animals. The book tells of the antics of the animals and the eventual way that they finally get Baby Jesus to go to sleep. It also tells of the reward given to the animal that finally accomplished the deed.

June was born in Auburn, Alabama at the foot of Jordan-Haire Football Stadium. She was raised in Montgomery, Alabama, and graduated from Sidney Lanier High School. She returned to the place of her birth to attend Auburn University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Education. She continued her education at Auburn University of Montgomery where she received her Master's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. After 25 years of teaching children to love to read and love books, she decided to write a book for children to love. Reading to children and having them read to you is a precious gift.
