Kirsty Murray (Author)
Kirsty Murray is an award-winning author of books for children and teenagers. Her many publications include Zarconi's Magic Flying Fish, Market Blues, and the historical fiction quartet Children of the Wind. In 2011 her novel India Dark won the Young People's History Award section in the NSW Premier's History Awards. Kirsty is a regular speaker at schools and literary festivals, and has been a Creative Fellow of the State Library of Victoria and an Asialink Literature Resident at the University of Madras in South India. She lives in Melbourne.

Florence Boyd (Illustrator)
Florence Boyd is a designer and fine artist based in London. She has exhibited work in many media, and is represented in public and private collections. Her commercial output ranges from illustrations in Granta magazine to paintings for an advertising campaign for Johnny Walker, and in 2009 she was commissioned by Random House to design covers for the re-issue of five novels by Margaret Atwood. The Black Cat Book Club is her first illustrated children's book.
