Autorenporträt
L. D. Michaels is a Londoner. He learnt cooking from a West Indian chef trained in cordon bleu traditions and a Portuguese couple managing a French restaurant owned by a Pole in London's Earl's Court. His subsequent global travels and present inner-suburban life in a cosmopolitan part of North London have done much to shape his attitudes to food and cooking.
