Autorenporträt
L J Hargreaves was born in Singapore and as a child, read books set in England falling in love with the countryside and its forest animals. She subsequently married her beloved John, an Englishman, who brought her to England and settled in Lancashire. Taking every opportunity to appreciate the lush countryside's of both Lancashire and Yorkshire, she enjoyed woodland walks with the anticipation of a possible chance of spotting a rabbit or a deer. On one occasion she had seen a lumbering badger and immediately this iconic creature became her favourite woodland animal. Sadly, John passed away leaving her with four very young girls who looked forward to bedtime stories and it became much easier for L J to create a tale each night to satisfy her children. Dinosaurs were her childrens' favourite animals but with the cull of the badgers that she holds close to her heart, she decided to write her first book on their plight to tell the dramatic tale of the injustice brought onto them.
