Autorenporträt
ANN GORDON has been involved with Dachshunds for more than 40 years. During 20 of those years, she bred and showed standard smooth Dachshunds in conformation competition under the kennel name of Ravenridge. In 1969, she was licensed by the American Kennel Club to judge Dachshunds and has judged throughout the United States and Canada. She is also licensed to judge Basset Hounds. Over the years, she has had the honor to judge at four of the Dachshund Club of America's national specialty shows. Not long after she became involved in Dachshunds, Ann became a member of the Dachshund Club of America. Over the many years that she has been a member of this organization, she has served in the capacity of 2nd Vice-President, 1st Vice-President, and as a member of the Board of Directors, a position in which she presently serves. Ann is the Dachshund breed columnist for the AKC Gazette and has been writing the column for the past 17 years.
