This book is an attempt through which the author wanted to trace the attitudes of Muslims towards the inhabitants and peoples of the neighboring continent, over a long history. This view went through stages, through which it moved from ignorance and contempt, to admiration and hostility. This view was modified and changed according to the changing balance of power between the two neighboring worlds, up to the modern era, which witnessed the rise of Europe at all scientific, intellectual and technical levels, as Europe became a source of enlightenment ideas that posed a new and dangerous challenge to Muslims. If the Europeans' view of Islam began within the framework of the institution of the Catholic Church, then moved in another stage to the hands of specialists in the humanities, literature, and anthropology, then the Muslims' view of Europe was in the beginning the domain of geographers, historians, and writers, and in our present time it has reached the hands of clerics and speakers. In the name of religious movements, in addition to followers of ideologies who believe that the West is conspiring against Muslims and Arabs. The bottom line is that there is no equality between the Muslim view of Europe and the Christian European view of Islam. This book is truly an unprecedented and panoramic attempt that presents the Islamic vision of Europe in the West from the eighth century AD to the present day.
