About the Author Emmanuel Udofia is a multiple international award-winning petroleum engineering consultant with diversified and extensive industry experience spanning three decades. He is a renowned authority in production operations, management, and digital transformation practices following a series of hands-on project deliveries across assets, including during employment with Geoservices, ConocoPhillips, Addax Petroleum, Heritage Energy, and Shell. At Shell, he championed the Bonga asset world-class smart fields full-suite implementation. He is a founding partner of Suneses Energy Limited, a leading digital energy solutions provider. Emmanuel has authored and presented several technical papers focusing on management and digital solutions in major platforms worldwide and led the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) international webinar. He is a registered engineer, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and a member of the SPE International Production and Facilities Advisory Committee. He was the 2021 (for data science and engineering analytics), 2022 (for production and operations), and 2023 (for projects, facilities, and construction) SPE Regional Award recipient. He served as chairman of Digital Energy Committee at the 2021 SPE International Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition held in Dubai, UAE. He holds BEng, MEng, MBA, and PhD in petroleum engineering and management from University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria; LIGS University, United States of America; and University of Leicester, United Kingdom.
