"Apache Incidents in Arizona; The Dread Apache:That Early Day Scourge of the Southwest" by Merrill Pingree Freman is a look at some of the depredations of the Apache in the early days in southern Arizona. Freeman established the Santa Cruz Valley Bank and eventually became very notable and influential in Arizona's financial history. He was a member of Arizona Board of Regents for the University of Arizona for 16 years and served as its Chancellor for 10 years. He was also a local historian specializing in recording notable facts regarding early Arizona history of which this short book is an example.

"Apache Incidents in Arizona; The Dread Apache:That Early Day Scourge of the Southwest" is a series of short vignettes of some of the many depredations committed by the Apache Indians in the 1880s.

Published in paper wraps in 1915 in a very small quantity, it is very scarce in its original binding. Presented here in an inexpensive e-book format for those interested in the Apache Indians and the early history of settlement in Arizona.

This short e-book has approximately 7,750+ words and approximately 28+ pages at 300 words per page in this e-book.

NOTE: This book has been scanned then OCR (Optical Character Recognition) has been applied to turn the scanned page images back into editable text. Then every effort has been made to correct typos, spelling, and to eliminate stray marks picked up by the OCR program. The original and/or extra period images, if any, were then placed in the appropriate place and, finally, the file was formatted for the e-book criteria of the site. This means that the text CAN be re-sized, searches performed, & bookmarks added, unlike some other e-books that are only scanned---errors, stray marks, and all.

We have added an Interactive Table of Contents & an Interactive List of Illustrations if any were present in the original. This means that the reader can click on the links in the Table of Contents or the List of Illustrations & be instantly transported to that chapter or illustration.

Our aim is to provide the reader AND the collector with long out-of-print (OOP) classic books at realistic prices.
