Autorenporträt
Amanda Foreman was born in London in 1968. She is the daughter of the late Hollywood film maker Carl Foreman (High Noon, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Guns of Navarone).

Her early years were spent shuttling between home in Los Angeles and school in Dorset. Her first book, 'Georgiana Duchess of Devonshire' won the 1998 Whitbread Biography of the year Award.

A self-confessed Trekkie, when not at work she is either cooking, surfing the net, or catching up on the latest sci-fi.
