"The Eagle and The Raven" tells an epic tale of rebellion in 14th Century Bavaria. When Knight Gendal offers to take a message to a remote mountain clan, the act of kindness ignites a revolt. Knight Gendal and Sir Rehlein get drawn into the fight to free Count Bertram and the Children of the Raven from the despotic rule of Nicolaus, Duke of Danuvia. Despite their best efforts, their plans to avoid armed conflict drag them ever faster towards the battle that could cost them all their lives. This action-packed sequel to "The Eagle and The Butterfly" sees Gendal living out the commission given in that story, to help the poor and fight injustice, in an exciting adventure where mysticism and faith must compete with survival.

Autorenporträt
Author Maggie Shaw creates her stories from her many and varied life experiences. A teenage runaway who made good after overcoming depression caused by undiagnosed ASD, Maggie writes as one who has walked the walk in recovery and spiritual development. Her degrees in science, divinity and church music, and her career as a Mental Health Dietitian, give a solid framework to the exciting adventure stories she loves to tell. The Scottish hills and Lakeland fells where her grandparents farmed often feature as landscapes in her work. Maggie is also a church musician, composer and song writer. Many of her songs and poems are inspired by the stories she writes. This is the sixth book Maggie has published through micropublisher Eregendal. Her other titles are The Vision and Beyond (2018), Diviner's Nemesis I: Avenger (2019), Diviner's Nemesis II - Retribution (2020), The Eagle and The Butterfly (2020) and The Last Thursday Ritual in Little Piddlington (2021). She has broadcast music and short stories on Radio Carlisle, Cat Radio, and Red Shift Radio; and contributed articles to The St Raphael's Guild Chrism, The Chronicle, The Church of England Newspaper, and Soul and Spirit Magazine. Online, Maggie publishes through ArtSwarm, YouTube, Sound Cloud, Facebook and the Eregendal website www.eregendal.com .
