Sam Wood is an emerging talent in the crime fiction genre. He excelled in writing and literature throughout school and college but worked in finance for most of his adult career.

Sam was always a voracious reader, even standing with a book in his hand when he pumped gas or stood in line anywhere. His favorite books were crime fiction so it was no surprise that his writing career has begun in that genre.

His first series with Malachi Whitlock, an ex-Secret Service agent, takes place in the Washington DC area. More books with Malachi are forthcoming. He is also working on two additional series that will be published in the coming months, set in different parts of the country, a reflection of Sam's frequent moves growing up.

Sam's sidekick and muse is his dog Gracie who never leaves his side. Especially during mealtime, which is Gracie's second favorite pastime. Sam also loves boating, camping, and making friends while traveling, as often as possible.
