Donna Goestenkors is a highly successful career veteran in Medical Staff Services, with over 40 years' experience. As a full-time healthcare consultant, speaker, visionary, leader, author, she travels on tour making personal appearances and remotely sharing her expertise, industry knowledge and innovative ideas to solve department and organizational problems and offers solid career advice to master any career challenge.
She is also the co-author of the industry's first career development book, "The Medical Services Professional Career Guidebook - Charting a Development Plan for Success." It contains precedent-setting career-building information and career roadmap models, a competency formula to measure success, sample position descriptions and recommended resources that must be part of your career portfolio. In addition, Donna and her Credentialing Development Team published another industry-first credential verification compliance and practice guide, "Gold Standard Credentialing", as well as "Gold Standard Recredentialing". Donna is actively connected on professional social media platforms and writes a monthly newsletter, "The MSP Compass", and regularly posts in industry and career related blogs.
Donna holds an Associate Degree in Medical Staff Science from Kansas City Business College, has achieved the highest industry certification from NAMSS as a Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPCSM) and recently completed her course work to achieve the Executive MSP (EMSP) designation. She also has been awarded completion certificates from various leadership and business programs throughout her rewarding career (Business Management, Coaching, Project Management, Career Development, through Stephen Covey/Nightingale-Conant and most recently in Executive Leadership Management through Dale Carnegie).
Donna has served her industry well through volunteer leadership at the local, state and national levels and was elected by her peers in 2005 as the youngest NAMSS President ever to hold their national position. She currently serves as a NAMSS instructor and as Executive Faculty for the Executive MSP Training and Education Program.
Donna is an ongoing learner, has a passion for helping others perform to their greatest potential as healthcare executives. Georgia Day, author, career success and fulfillment coach and speaker, helps professionals in the corporate area get to that next successful step in their careers and those who have forgotten or don't even believe that they can have a life outside of business. She works with them to create practical, workable solutions in both areas of their lives.
Georgia spent time in private industry before developing a career in the public sector. During this time, she served on numerous boards and commissions, both nationally and locally. She and her husband Michael then began their next life chapter, spending ten years working and traveling full-time across the country in an RV with their Irish Wolfhound, settling in Austin, TX. She has served as the President of Kamama LLC since the spring of 2000.
