Autorenporträt
Mrs. Shelia T. Cisco is the eldest daughter of Dr. Johnnie B, Wilson (deceased)and Ethel Mae Wilson- Miller. She is married to Rev. Washington Cisco. The share six children in a blended family. They work in ministry together, as counselors and ministers. Mrs. Cisco loves to sing and works in her area in nursing home ministry and visitation. She and her co- laborer in the counseling Cathy Baker have founded a caregiver support group "Compassion of Caregivers "in 2024.
Mrs. Cisco has authored three other books. "Of Vision and Dreams for Her Daughters "in 2021, published by Dorrance Publishing. She also authored a children's book entitled "Sir Gregory the Groundhog of Essex County" in 2023 by Christian faith Publishing, and "Loving the Broken in 2024" self-published.
She is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Illinois and a Divorce Mediator approved by the Illinois and Missouri Supreme Court. She was previously a nurse and educator for 30 years. She is an ordained minister of the Gospel. Her ministry to the lost and forgotten is her passion. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and traveling. She is currently a member of the American Counseling association and a Member of the American Adults with Disabilities Association. She and her co- founder Cathy Baker started a group to address the needs of care givers coping with spouses who have disabilities, it is called Compassion for Caregivers.
She resides in Southern Illinois with her loving husband Rev. Washington D. Cisco.
