Robinson's travels along the paths of Hemingway, from Key West and Havana to Africa and Ronda, Spain where bullfighting began are particularly interesting.

Rich, a Southern California native, veteran, and San Diego State University graduate, retired as an administrator for the County of San Diego. His passion for fishing took him from the High Sierras lakes and streams in the 1950s to the tip of Baja California in the early 1970s, to the remote reaches of Alaska and many places in between.
