Barr¿s "The Face and the Mask" is an indispensable collection of 24 short stories, which includes the famous "The Great Pegram Mystery", a parody of Sherlock Holmes, with a detective called Sherlaw Kombs. Robert Barr, a teacher, journalist, editor and novelist, born in Glasgow, Scotland and educated in Canada.
