Dominic Kaid is heartbroken over the recent loss of his mother and sister. While trying to return to work, he finds himself in a sabotaged lab. Unable to escape, a series of explosions ignite, and liquid metals engulf him. Those around him do all they can to save his life with an untested experimental therapy. As he's recovering in a coma, they see his body adapting to the metal in impossible ways.

While trying to understand what caused the lab explosions and how Dominic adapted, Jack, Aiden, and Patrick begin to uncover a trail of bodies and search for what lies at the end.

With help from physicists, psychologists, biologists, molecular biologists, MDs, chemists, and a former FBI agent, this series is as scientifically sound as a science fiction graphic novel can be. Information about the science used can be found in the back of the book.

Autorenporträt

Lives & works in Colorado. ​ Creator, writer, and artist of The Ferrokin published by Theory Comics. ​ Jennifer Swartwood-Walker has a B.A. in Art/Graphic Design from Western Colorado University. She's known for creating photo-realistic paintings, drawings, graphic art, etc. In the graphic novel industry, she surprised everyone with The Ferrokin Series. By adding a fine art style and basing her story on real science and history, she created something unique. The science in the book is elaborated on in the back of the actual book and on The Ferrokin website (theorycomics.com). (All science in the book has been verified by scientists to make sure it's as real as possible.) Swartwood-Walker has been a professional artist since 2009 and began showing her artwork in galleries in 2013. From then on she began working to develop The Ferrokin into what it is now. She recently began showing more fine art pieces in galleries and sells many to independent collectors outside of a gallery setting. Her artwork has been published throughout the years in magazines, newspapers, websites, books (more than for just Theory Comics), etc. and has paintings all over the US in private collections. ​ Jennifer is currently working on Part Two of The Nevermore series (book 6) from The Ferrokin and was married in 2020.
