Autorenporträt
Noel Hepworth had many years in local government in the United Kingdom. He was assistant City Treasurer of Manchester and then Director of Finance of the London Borough of Croydon. He was Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and an original member of the UK Audit Commission, the initial chairman of the Accountancy of Europe Public Sector Committee and a technical adviser to the IFAC Public Sector Committee. He is a qualified public finance accountant and has been awarded honorary doctorates by the Universities of Hull, Brighton and London. He was awarded an OBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1980.
