The findings of collaborative research studies on the potential impact of the 4IR on the labour markets, occupations, future workforce competencies and skills associated with eight industry sectors in Australia are reported. The sectors are: agriculture and mining; manufacturing and logistics; health, medical and nursing; education; retail; financial services; government services and tourism.

Professor Julia Connell is the EMBA/Newcastle Business School Director (Sydney Campus), University of Newcastle. Her research and teaching has focused on workplace change and people development for many years with more recent research encompassing the future of work and new technologies.
Dr. Alan Montague I was formerly the Program Director Master of Human Resource Management Senior Lecturer at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University Melbourne Australia.
