After the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, His apostles went out in power to preach the true Gospel of the coming Kingdom of God. One crucial aspect of that Gospel was the essential acceptance of Jesus as our Savior.

After the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, His apostles went out in power to preach the true Gospel of the coming Kingdom of God. One crucial aspect of that Gospel was the essential acceptance of Jesus as our Savior.

What does it mean to accept Christ? This book explores one of the many aspects of that acceptance. It is not in vain that we have Old Testament scriptures included in our Bibles! The whole Bible is required to understand the full Gospel message. The original apostles were well equipped to preach the entire message using Old Testament Scriptures, which is what the apostle Paul did.

1) We begin with a fictitious story to introduce a crucial aspect of the sin sacrifice. It is mostly overlooked and lost on humanity. It deals with the fundamental aspect of how a loving father arranges a major and traumatic event to allow his eldest son to work a total turn of the heart in his other children. This shocking turn of events is then superimposed on what happened with Jesus.

2) The next chapter helps us understand how sinners would experience the Sin Sacrifice at the Temple in Jerusalem.

3) Chapter three then starts at the beginning of sin in Genesis and looks at some events that were a type of the Sin Sacrifice. Some events that happened during the Exodus will become clear.

4) Now we can look at the actual sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the crucifix, how that fulfilled the sin sacrifice fully and finally, and what the people present at that momentous event must have felt.

5) In chapter five, a discussion follows on the New Testament Sin Sacrifice and how it was used time and again throughout the Book of Acts to bring believers to repentance.

6) Chapter six shows how the Sin Sacrifice was described in the epistles of Paul to Romans and Galatians and in the book to the Hebrews. It is further discussed in the letters of Peter and John.

7) Ultimately, chapter seven shows how humankind's whole relationship is reconciled in Heaven and how the way to ultimate salvation and eternal life for us mortals has been opened up.

The sin sacrifice must be fully understood and experienced for believers to turn eternally toward our Heavenly Father. It is a crucial element to our salvation!

Autorenporträt
Pieter C Voges grew up in Pretoria, South Africa, and graduated from Langenhoven High School. After studying at Pretoria Technicon and Pretoria University, a career at IBM followed. Attending various Christian churches allowed a growing understanding of the original Gospel message and a quest for complete Biblical understanding. This led to my appointment as a Pastor and Evangelist. A desire to share insight into the First Century Theology led to several books being written and recently converted to eBooks. More is in production.
