This manuscript attempts to fly a thousand translated fragments from Fernando Pessoa's English poetry and prose, not with the aim of reaching his soul but with the aim of freely falling into his great black hole. "What is left of us in the end is small plucks and scraps, which if we realize, everything," according to Pessoa himself. If Pessoa once wrote in a mantra-like: "May God preserve for me the gift of not being important, and the comfort of being insignificant", many critics agree that Pessoa and the "Confederation of Spirits and Authors" that he created and left after his death in his famous magic bag, have made Fernando Pessoa (The Unknown Alive) one of the greatest poets and prose of the twentieth century.
