Robert Vanderzee was born in Detroit and is a graduate of the University of Michigan. With a Batchelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He has lived at various times in Ohio, England, France, and Pennsylvania. The Gold Cannon is Vanderzee's seventh book. He currently resides in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
