Jan Wahl has published more than 100 books, including Pleasant Fieldmouse, Cobweb Castle, and A Dinosaur Named Sue, and has worked with such illustrators as Mercer Mayer, Garth Williams, and Maurice Sendak. His books have been awarded the ALA Notable Book citation and the Parents' Choice literary award, among many others. Jan lives in Toledo, Ohio. Leonard Weisgard was the illustrator of more than 100 children's books. He passed away in 2000. His art is routinely displayed in galleries around the world.
